The California Nurses Association and National Nurses Organizing Committee held their 2019 Global Nurses Solidarity Assembly at the SF Hilton Union Square, bringing together nurses from around the world to promote patient rights and global activism, and JMP is proud to be a part of their production team.
The three-day event included a complete takeover of the hotel, including the Grand Ballroom for their plenary sessions featuring a centered 60’ x 15’ rear projection screen and flanking 16’ x 13’ LED walls. The Yosemite meeting space transformed into the nurses’ networking area and art gallery, featuring work by artist-activists in a beautifully curated collection titled Recognition: Labor Meets Art in Explorations of Identity and Social Justice.
Works such as Or, the Whale by Berkeley artist Jos Sances highlight social justice issues important to the nurses union. The look was big, bold, and polished, befitting the nurses and what they stand for. We love the nurses and look forward to our next project with them.
