STEM Zone – NBA Jam Session

Chevron continued its efforts to promote the science of sports by bringing the latest incarnation of the STEM Zone to this year's NBA Jam Session in New Orleans, and JMP worked with the Chevron Gulf of Mexico branch to bring the science of basketball to life. The 30' x 30' booth was built with truss arches with large format graphics acting as walls for the space.

A thermal camera station, the latest addition to the STEM Zone collection of exhibits, allowed visitors to snap and print a selfie with a thermal imaging camera, and hoopsters got a lesson in perceptual feedback at the pop-a-shot station, where they practiced shooting the ball while wearing prism glasses that distort their field of vision. The exhibit was unlike any other found at the NBA Jam Session, providing Chevron with a fantastic sponsor activation opportunity.
