The Chevron STEM Zone made their sixth appearance at the Bay Area Science Festival Discovery Day held at AT&T Park, and this year’s tent featured more exhibits than ever! This annual event offers hands-on experiments in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math like augmented reality stations, and wind energy engineering. Over 30,000 visitors were in attendance at this fabulous event, and JMP is proud to be a part of this educational community event.
Chevron continued their efforts to promote the science of sports by bringing the latest incarnation of the STEM Zone to this year's NBA Jam Session in New Orleans, and JMP worked with the Chevron Gulf of Mexico branch to bring the science of basketball to life. The 30' x 30' booth was built with truss arches with large format graphics acting as walls for the space. A thermal camera station, the latest addition to the STEM Zone collection of exhibits, allowed visitors to snap and print a selfie with a thermal imaging camera, and hoopsters got a lesson in perceptual feedback at the pop-a-shot station, where they practiced shooting the ball while wearing prism glasses that distort their field of vision. The exhibit was unlike any other found at the Jam Session, providing Chevron with a fantastic sponsor activation opportunity.
The Annual Academy of Friends Oscar night gala was held this year at Ft. Mason, with the theme "Behind the Seams." John Murray Productions, Inc. provides production support and donates soft goods for the Bay Areas largest aids fund raiser. We also created an oversized zipper for the VIP lounge. The event is the largest Oscar party outside of Los Angeles with proceeds going to AIDS research, and John Murray Productions, Inc. is proud to be a part of this annual event since 1996.
