When Mike Oku envisioned a giant 3D logo for his client AppDirect, he chose John Murray Productions to fabricate and install the multi layered centerpiece. This 40' x 16' stage set consisted of 5 layers all suspended by 1/16" wire rope on different vertical planes to give the set a floating appearance. Mike and his team of lighting designers subtly painted the set with light from below and video images were precisely pixel mapped to appear only on the logo, adding even more dimension to this stunning graphic. Thank you Mike for the great photos and the repeat business!
For the 3rd year running John Murray Productions was proud to be the scenic designers for the Intuit Leadership Conference held at the Terranea Resort in Los Angeles.
The set included a unique 18' x 90' widescreen projection surface which featured a central backstage egress, created by the use of a blended two-part screen composed of front and rear projection. Two flanking 12'x18' curved sections were precisely built using our CNC router for pixel-mapping projected content while adding dimensionality to the set. The result was dynamic and bold, creating the ideal environment for the software giant's leadership conference.
When Immersive Audio Visual approached us last minute with a complicated pixel mapping project for the 2014 Kaspersky Cyber Security Summit, we quickly hopped on board to create a dynamic projection surface. The set consisted of a 75' wide by 13' high flat wall with a center screen, and flanking walls covered with boxes of varying size that the projection team masterfully used as a backdrop for their set. The challenge came in building such a detailed projection surface within a very short period of time, but our crew managed to build the entire set in 2 days, coming to the rescue when another vendor fell through. The result was fantastic! Click on the video above to see the ship build, install and projection in action.
