When Mike Oku envisioned a giant 3D logo for his client AppDirect, he chose John Murray Productions to fabricate and install the multi layered centerpiece. This 40' x 16' stage set consisted of 5 layers all suspended by 1/16" wire rope on different vertical planes to give the set a floating appearance. Mike and his team of lighting designers subtly painted the set with light from below and video images were precisely pixel mapped to appear only on the logo, adding even more dimension to this stunning graphic. Thank you Mike for the great photos and the repeat business!
Host Analytics, the leader in cloud-based financial applications, held their annual Host Analytics World conference at the SFO Marriott in Burlingame, and JMP partnered with Seamless Show Productions to design and produce the scenic environment for this year's event. The set for the general sessions consisted of a 35' wide truss arch, rigged with a combo of our translucent 2x2 tile set and custom printed tiles with the conference's logo and theme, The Future of Finance. The stage was flanked by our glo wall columns and two 9'x16' screens with hard surrounds, and finished with an upstage, up-lit cyclorama. The look and feel continued into the ballroom foyer where we installed window graphics, branded the registration area, and wrapped the escalator with vinyl graphics, resulting in a consistent brand image throughout the hotel.
The Host Analytics World 2014 took place at the SFO Marriott, and John Murray Productions worked with Seamless Productions to produce the set and lobby branding environment. The event's theme title - engage, empower, evolve - served as the focal point of the 15' x 80' graphic set, with our glo walls flanking the 9' x 16' screens. The hotel's escalator repeated the theme with a branding treatment that covered the entire 4 sides, as well as a custom registration area, all printed on our in house, large format eco-friendly latex printer.
Oracle Open World is the world's largest information technology event dedicated to helping enterprises understand how to harness the power of information. Working with InVision Communications, John Murray Productions was a part of this annual event held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, providing scenic production for several of the partner sessions including one held at the Novellus Theatre at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and another at the Westin St. Francis. For the Novellus event, we began with a large 30'x50' cyclorama in front of which we installed varying heights of our saw tooth Glo Wall set. The staggered Glo Walls flanked a 12'x16' screen which served as the focal point for the event.
The stage at the Westin St. Francis also incorporated our Glo Wall set, which worked great with the fiery red Oracle branding. A 16'x40' backlit cyclorama provided a clean backdrop on which to hang the Oracle logo, which was made of dimensional foam painted Oracle red. Two large screens flanked the stage. This set was optimal for lighting effects, creating a dramatic yet simple environment for one of the main sessions at Open World.
Intuit, the leader in small business services, held their annual Leadership Summit in San Francisco's Fairmont Hotel this August. In partnership with Ideas With Impact, John Murray Productions was there to provide the scenic design for the conference which was a huge success. The design incorporated two 10.5' x 14' screens and featured our 2x2 tile set as the backdrop for the corporate logo. The client requested a large dynamic screen and the challenge was to create this compelling focal point in a very tight space. The solution came in the shape of a custom back lit screen surround with built in frosted plexiglass light boxes to hide the LED color kinetics light changers which allowed for striking color changes throughout the conference. The result was polished and dynamic, and reinforced the company's brand image.
JMP worked with Jack Morton Worldwide in creating the look for the new Samsung Galaxy product launch and training event to be held in several cities across the United States. In efforts to emphasize the smartphone's portability, we were asked to create ten custom 3 wheel bikes on which the trainers could ride around the showroom floor, with a laptop computer affixed to the front platform. JMP fully customized the generic mountain bikes, with a front loading hinged platform and storage container featuring the company's branding. The client was very pleased, and we had a lot of fun in the process!
JCK Las Vegas, the jewelry industry's premier trade event, took place this June at the Sands Expo and Convention Center. JMP came back for the second year in a row to transform several suites at the Venetian hotel into mini showrooms for Movado, Ebel and Concord. The transformation began with drapery covering the interior walls. Flat walls provided the structure for the posh sets which included the clients' branding, and up-lit shadow boxes to highlight their latest products. High quality printing of the company's ad campaign on canvas flats really reinforced the brand imaging in the customized suites.
One of the greatest benefits of working in our industry is the ability to partner with clients whose mission we stand behind. JMP is honored to work with National Nurses United for their annual conference, which took place in Washington DC this May. In conjunction with Metromedia Productions and lighting designer Tim Miller, JMP participated by transforming the International Terrace at the Washington Hilton into a nurses zone for networking, shopping, and education. We were also responsible for the scenic production of the various stages used for the general session and continuing education sessions. Click here to learn more about this fantastic event.
Cisco's annual Partner Summit was held this April at San Francisco's Moscone center. For 20 years, Cisco customers and global partners have met to discuss ideas and visions for the future and John Murray Productions, Inc. was there to create the environment for the event. Utilizing our 2'x2' tile set, a custom arrangement of our tiles in the shape of the Cisco logo created the ideal backdrop for the noted speakers. We also incorporated our custom 6' circular screen on which a power icon and Cisco logo was projected. Black milano drape and a 40'x16' cyclorama completed the set.
For Giorgio Armani's exclusive VIP event, John Murray Productions, Inc. was hired to create an elegant runway and dining room inside the Nieman Marcus in Bellevue, WA which was used to showcase the label's latest collection. We transformed the space by creating a 44' by 35' enclosure in the center of the high end retailer's showroom. VIPs were invited to dine after the show in a separate space created using custom built soji screens. The label's branding was presented on black plexiglass and featured on the runway and in the dining area, further emphasizing the sophistication and classic appeal of the Giorgio Armani label.
COLAS, the world's largest international road construction company called upon John Murray Productions, Inc. (JMP) to coordinate staging and scenic elements for their semi-annual summit held at the San Francisco Marriott this past February. The purpose of the convention was to discuss new technology and safety in the road building industry world wide, and JMP was contracted to create the environment for this huge conference. The job involved creating numerous environments within the hotel, including a theater for 300 guests with raked seating, a giant rolling performance stage, and a custom made "floating" Golden Gate Bridge model that greeted guests on their way into the ballroom. The Marriott's enormous ballroom was transformed with 10,000 square feet of drapery, printed graphics and projected imagery. John Murray Production's talented fabricators also created a realistic ore cart that held raw asphalt for the elaborate display of materials used in modern road construction.
