The Northern California Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC) held their annual Awards Gala this April at the Westin St. Francis in Union Square, and John Murray Productions, Inc. was on hand for the fourth year running to provide the Glitz & Glam themed environment. The Grand Ballroom, Italian Room, and Colonial Room at the historic hotel were transformed into a magpie's dream, as the decor consisted of all things shiny. Guests were greeted by a Glitz & Glam welcome treatment, highlighted by AV Images' lighting effects. The Italian room was decked out with a black drape wall layered with a curtain of crystals, with the entrance to the Grand Ballroom flanked by art deco inspired towers. The stage featured our glitzy stainless steel tile set, accented with sparkling three dimensional NCMSDC letters and mirror balls, all complimented by a rouge velour backdrop. The podium and guest tables were accented with crystals, giving the whole room a consistent touch of sparkle. The after party was held in the Colonial room, which featured a ceiling treatment of gold and silver silk panels draped from side to side, as well as a Glitz & Glam photo op wall, where guests were invited to take professional photos. The custom stenciled wall featured pearl curtains and three dimensional 'Glitz & Glam' letters, providing an elegant backdrop for guests to pose for their close-up.
The Northern California Minority Supplier Development Council/NCMSDC held their annual awards gala this March at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco. In partnership with AV Images, John Murray Productions, Inc. helped pull off their Masquerade theme with several custom elements including a faux finished lectern and stage graphics, as well as several large format prints. The event, which recognizes leaders in minority owned businesses, occupied 3 rooms on the mezzanine level. JMP provided decor for the entrance, including mounted and die cut masks floating in front of our purple mirror mesh drape. We also created a Venetian atmosphere in the Italian room, with mask images on all the bars, and an elaborate entrance treatment to the grand ballroom where the awards ceremony was held. Custom faux finished flats and masquerade backdrop created the look on stage, while an 8'x12' photo wall with a detailed mask image and chiffon ceiling drapery provided the look for the Colonial room, where guests danced the evening away in celebration of their awards.
Oracle Open World is the world's largest information technology event dedicated to helping enterprises understand how to harness the power of information. Working with InVision Communications, John Murray Productions was a part of this annual event held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, providing scenic production for several of the partner sessions including one held at the Novellus Theatre at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and another at the Westin St. Francis. For the Novellus event, we began with a large 30'x50' cyclorama in front of which we installed varying heights of our saw tooth Glo Wall set. The staggered Glo Walls flanked a 12'x16' screen which served as the focal point for the event.
The stage at the Westin St. Francis also incorporated our Glo Wall set, which worked great with the fiery red Oracle branding. A 16'x40' backlit cyclorama provided a clean backdrop on which to hang the Oracle logo, which was made of dimensional foam painted Oracle red. Two large screens flanked the stage. This set was optimal for lighting effects, creating a dramatic yet simple environment for one of the main sessions at Open World.
