Oracle Open World is the world's largest information technology event dedicated to helping enterprises understand how to harness the power of information. Working with InVision Communications, John Murray Productions was a part of this annual event held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, providing scenic production for several of the partner sessions including one held at the Novellus Theatre at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and another at the Westin St. Francis. For the Novellus event, we began with a large 30'x50' cyclorama in front of which we installed varying heights of our saw tooth Glo Wall set. The staggered Glo Walls flanked a 12'x16' screen which served as the focal point for the event.
The stage at the Westin St. Francis also incorporated our Glo Wall set, which worked great with the fiery red Oracle branding. A 16'x40' backlit cyclorama provided a clean backdrop on which to hang the Oracle logo, which was made of dimensional foam painted Oracle red. Two large screens flanked the stage. This set was optimal for lighting effects, creating a dramatic yet simple environment for one of the main sessions at Open World.

The design incorporated two 10.5' x 14' screens and featured our 2x2 tile set as the backdrop for the corporate logo. The client requested a large dynamic screen and the challenge was to create this compelling focal point in a very tight space. The solution came in the shape of a custom back lit screen surround with built in frosted plexiglass light boxes to hide the LED color kinetics light changers which allowed for striking color changes throughout the conference. The result was polished and dynamic, and reinforced the company's brand image.

Balloons in various sizes dotted the ceiling, with excerpts from the theatre's most recent plays projected on their surfaces. Bold use of color also added to the effect, with the entire lobby and patio windows covered in a translucent green vinyl covered with text. The event was a huge success, raising over $137k for the theatre.
