U.S. Open Chevron STEM Zone

Chevron partnered with the USGA at the 2013 U.S. Open held at the iconic Merion Golf course in Pennsylvania, and John Murray Productions, Inc. played a roll by fabricating and installing the Chevron STEM Zone in one of the tents available for tournament guests to visit. The U.S. Open is just one of the stops for the traveling STEM zone, a hands on learning experience designed to excite visitors about the science of golf, which makes it way to Atlanta for the Tour Championship before returning to California for the Nature Valley Open this fall.

National Golf Day

National Golf Day, an annual event designed to celebrate the economic, social, and charitable impact of the game of golf in the United States, was one of the stops on the Chevron STEM Zone tour. The event took place in Washington D.C. and part of the JMP STEM zone crew flew out to install a few of the STEM Zone exhibits, designed to highlight the science of golf.
