Soft goods are a significant element in nearly all special event design. We want to be your source for reliable quality soft goods. This post is dedicated to informing our customers of the materials, equipment and services we offer in the area of theatrical soft goods. Whether you need to black out a ballroom, or project video on a 70' seamless screen, we can customize a solution for you.
TRADITIONAL THEATRICAL DRAPERY
This drawing shows the typical theatrical soft goods and their relative position on a stage. Our Drapeline division maintains a large rental inventory of these standard draperies. We also can fabricate custom draperies for your particular theater. There are many beautiful and innovative new fabrics available today including materials that are inherently flame retardant and can be laundered repeatedly without loosing retardancy. Please email us at email@example.com and we will be happy to prepare a custom sewing estimate.
SOFT GOODS IN A CORPORATE PRESENTATION
Most ballrooms and exhibit halls require soft goods to shape the environment for the presentation. Our soft goods are used for everything from giant projection screens to spectacular unveilings.
Drape support, traveler tracks, Kabuki mechanism, hampers, and countless other bits of our kit allow for professional and dynamic soft goods installations. If you have a tricky installation, give us a call and we will get you through it.
CUSTOM PAINTED SCENERY AND DIGITALLY OUTPUT BACKDROPS
Old School Painting meets State-of-the-art Printing. Sometimes there is simply no substitute to a custom painted backdrop. Possibly the most unique feature of our scenic studio is our paint loft. We have two enormous paint frames that allow scenic painters to "paint up" while the 25 feet x 85 feet paint frames move through a slot in the floor of the paint loft.
Additionally we offer the greenest grand format digital printing available today. Our state of the art printer uses water based inks, and prints on a wide variety of substrates including a fabric made from 100% recycled bottles. When we are done with the prints they can be recycled once again. Digital art ensures that brand identity is adhered to, and can create striking backdrops quickly and cost efficiently.
Soft goods used in the event environment must have a flame certificate, which ensures that the material is either inherently flame retardant, or has had a flame retardant applied to the fabric. John Murray Productions, Inc. is certified with the California State Fire Marshal to apply flame retardants and issue certificates.
So as you imagine your next event design, please contact us early in the process and we will provide you expert advice, and high quality products at a very competitive price.
